Time for the second CASE challenge! Last week was a fancy fold, this time it’s a technique.  Last week we linked to the clever Anna Smith and shared her beautiful creations. Now Becki and I have come up with our own versions.  What do you think?

I have a few friends who are expecting babies soon, so I thought it would be good to use this challenge with a baby set.  Talk about killing two birds with one stone!  I’ve used the A Little Wild set from the Annual Catalogue, as it’s so versatile.

This technique involves applying ink directly to a clear block, then using it like a stamp onto the card.  My first attempt is to the side.   It gives a really interesting texture, but I wanted something a little softer for my baby cards.  On my next try I used a spritzer to spray a fine mist of water onto the inked block before stamping, and I got a lovely blended effect.  You can see the results below.

If you joined in with this challenge, be sure to head to the Craft with Emma Facebook page and share your creations.

Your next stop now is Becki Ritson at Sunshine Stamping to see her take on this week’s challenge, follow this link here!

It was my turn to choose our next designer, and I’ve gone with the amazing Dawn Griffith whom I am sure you all know and love!  It’s so hard to choose my favourite one of her creations, but it had to be her stunning Stained Glass Glitter cards which you can find on her blog here: https://dawnsstampingthoughts.net/2018/07/easy-stained-glass-glitter-video.html

Come back next week to see the cards Becki and I have made using Dawn’s cards as inspiration.  If you’d like to join in the challenge, please go to my Facebook page Craft with Emma where you can share your creations, I’d love to see what you come up with!

Happy stamping!

These are lovely cards Emma! I love the blended effect you’ve got from spritzing the blocks with water – and what a brilliant idea to make a set of Baby cards. Beautiful! x
