Cookie Cutter magnetic bookmark

By | September 5th, 2016|Christmas, Not a card, Uncategorized, Videos|0 Comments

Hi there!  Today I've been making magnetic bookmarks to send out with the new Stampin' Up! Autumn/Winter catalogue, and I thought I'd do a quick tutorial to show you just how easy it is to make this cute project. Start by stamping the gingerbread man stamp in Chocolate Chip ink onto Whisper White cardstock, and punch out using the coordinating punch. Then stamp the Santa image using Basic Black.  Colour in using brush markers, I used Real Red, Basic Black, Crushed Curry (for the detail on his belt) and Blushing Bride (for his face). Punch out your Santa, and then punch out a glittery bow tie using red Glimmer Paper. Next I punched out two cookie shapes using magnetic paper. Using Snail adhesive, I stuck some Real Red Stitched Grosgrain ribbon onto the back of my Santa and gingerbread man.  The strip of ribbon was about 6". I put a [...]

Joyful Nativity Spinner Easel card

By | August 26th, 2016|Christmas, Uncategorized, Videos|0 Comments

Hi there!  I know to many people it's still early, but I've been getting ready for Christmas by starting on my Christmas cards.  As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, we get advance previews on new catalogues, so recently I've been drooling over the new Autumn/Winter book, which is jam packed full of fabulous seasonal goodies.  I'll be posting videos with them very soon.  But for now, I've stuck to the main 2016-17 catalogue, which has Christmas sets on pages 26-35.  This one uses the Joyful Nativity stamp set, and at first I made a very simple and easy layered card, with a gold embossed angel in the centre of the O of Joy.  Then I thought about making it more interesting, and the spinner card sprang to mind.  You can find the video below, as well as step by step instructions.   Start by stamping Joy in Chocolate Chip ink onto [...]

Pokemon Go – Gotta Craft Em All!

By | July 20th, 2016|Pokemon Go, Punch Art, Uncategorized|0 Comments

I shared some Pikachu punch art on my facebook page yesterday, and got so many requests for instructions that I just had to do a tutorial, so here it is!  All you need is the Owl builder punch, the Fox builder punch, scissors, glue, and a black pen.  I used Daffodil Delight cardstock for the yellow, and Real Red cardstock for his cheeks. Start by punching out 3 owl bodies and 2 fox ears in yellow, and 2 of the medium owl eyes in red.  Then follow the guide below to trim each owl body as shown, and cut the ears in half.       You should end up with pieces like this.  Glue the feet onto the body (nice and wide apart), and glue 2 ears onto the head. There's an optional sponging of the edges shown here, but I didn't do it for my original pokemon.  I [...]

Getting ready for the new In Colors!

By | May 17th, 2016|In Colors|0 Comments

Oh wow, look, it's a blog post!  I've been pretty quiet for, well, a loooong time now!  Since I last blogged, I've changed jobs (twice!), met an amazing man who then proposed after 6 weeks, we planned a wedding, got married in the snow then honeymooned in the sun, I've packed up two flats-worth of lifetime possessions (his and mine), moved house, and started crafting on a full time basis!  Whew!  So after all that, I hope you'll forgive my absence! I'm back with a bang tho, giving you a sneak preview of the BRAND NEW In Colors that Stampin' Up! are launching on the 1st June.  Yup, I know, that's over 2 weeks away, but I couldn't wait to show you!  Aren't they just gorgeous?!?  Each year SU! bring out 5 new colours, designed to fit the current trends in fashion.  Without further ado, let me introduce you to [...]
